FOOTT PRINTTS Multiplier Event in Düsseldorf – 29 September 2025

On 29 September 2025, stakeholders, experts, and educators from 11 different nations across Europe came together in Düsseldorf for the FOOTT PRINTTS Multiplier Event. The day focused on the exploration of new approaches to in-service teacher training and sharing insights from the FOOTT PRINTTS project.

A Day of Exchange and Inspiration

The event began with registration and a warm welcome, setting the stage for an engaging programme.

The project coordinators Dirk Kolar and Anna Kapsalis opened the day with an introduction to the FOOTT PRINTTS project, followed by a keynote speech from Prof. Dr.  Eric Richter on “Enhancing Quality in In-Service Teacher Training.”

Later in the morning, Prof. Dipl.-Päd. Dipl. Oec.Christian Rudloff presented the methodology behind the FOOTT PRINTTS framework, offering participants an early opportunity to dive into its structure and aims.

The programme continued with a 90-minute interactive workshop:
“Thinking Forward: A Multi-Perspective Workshop on the FOOTT PRINTTS Framework.” Facilitated by Jakob Graversen and Marielle Süßer-Kautz, this workshop invited participants to take on different roles, collaboratively develop scenarios, and provide feedback on the applicability of the framework. The format ensured that multiple perspectives were represented, while also testing the framework’s practical relevance in real-world training contexts.

From Workshops to Dialogue

After the lunch break, the event shifted from hands-on collaboration to collective reflection. Feedback from the workshop was presented and discussed in plenary, giving participants the opportunity to share their insights, highlight key takeaways, and open the floor to questions and dialogue. As one participant emphasised:“The framework works well as an instrument when putting it into practice. It makes sense from the beginning and is a good visualisation.“ Others also valued the immediate applicability of the framework. Participants noted that it was „very useful in real life – not only for teacher trainers but also for leaders or designers of CPD entering the classroom.“ Such feedback underlined the framework’s potential to bridge research, practice and leadership.

The afternoon continued with a panel discussion titled “From Vision to Action: Implementing Training Solutions Across Europe.” Bringing together leading voices from across the education sector, the panel featured Rasmus G. Henriksen, Head of Department in the City of Aalborg (Denmark), Diana Pastoriza, Advisor in the Teacher Training Department in Spain, and Marie Vanderbeke, Head of the International Department at Ruhr-University of Bochum (Germany). Together, they reflected on the key insights of the day and connected the FOOTT PRINTTS framework with the findings from the morning workshop.

Marie Vanderbeke highlighted that „the FOOTT PRINTTS framework helped us to look not only at the what, but also on the how.“ Rasmus Henriksen added that the framework encourages stakeholders to „take  a 360 degrees approach to implementing key factors and broaden perspectives by looking at teacher training from an organisational point of view.“

By linking theory and practice, the discussion explored how innovative approaches to teacher training can move from vision to action. Drawing on diverse European perspectives, the panel also examined how sustainable and scalable training solutions can be developed and implemented across different educational systems.

Our FOOTT PRINTTS Multiplier Event was a unique opportunity to explore the FOOTT PRINTTS framework and its impact on teacher training as well as to exchange ideas with international stakeholders and practitioners.
